My name is Vaida Matiukatė. I am the artisan and creator of . handbags and accessories. I live and work in the town of Rokiskis in Lithuania and have been designing and making handbags and other accessories for more than ten years.
I am continuously exploring new forms, materials and techniques, creating accessories of natural and vegan leather using materials that over time have been tested and confirmed to maintain their durability and style. I am very pleased to now be able to offer my work through Litkrom Boutique LLC in the United States.
I continually seek to create handbags and accessories that are timeless, relevant to varied age groups and adaptable to different wardrobes and seasons. Handbags and other leather accessories add an accent of confidence and style to any clothing ensemble. A handbag is an expression of lifestyle, of human character and aspirations.
Each handbag and accessories is my personal handmade work. The creative process begins with the construction of paper templates.
All products are made without the use of production equipment. Cutting, gluing, punching, edge processing – everything is done by hand.
All products are made without the use oaI often use stainless steel for the decorative elements, which is also prepared by hand – cutting, grinding, machining the edges, thus preparing for in my work laser engraving. An engraved stainless steel detail is an important element of expression f production equipment. Cutting, gluing, punching, edge processing – everything is done by hand.
The leather is sewn using a manually guided sewing machine, and in some cases by hand
I often use engraved Latin phrases in my work. They give the handbags a certain uniqueness. It’s like a coded secret. These are words that no one else needs to know. It is a kind of reflection of a woman’s inner world.
Shape-color-texture is the axis around which the entire . universe revolves. Quality, durability and functionality. I combine these core values with modern design and modern trends
