About Saulius Paukstys

Saulius Paukstys is one of the pioneers of Post-Modernism photography in Lithuania.    He has organized photography exhibitions in Lithuania and foreign galleries and is one of the founders of the Photography Department of Vilnius Art Academy.

 

Saulius Paulius received a BA in Electrical Engineering in 1987 from University of Technology, Kaunas, Lithuania and then studied photography in Santa Monica College, Santa Monica, USA and Manfred Studio in Chicago, USA

Organized the organized the Frank Zappa Monument built in Vilnius, Lithuania together with sculptor Konstantinas Bogdanas and architect Valdas Ozarinskas.

Organized construction of the Frank Zappa Monument in Baltimore,
Maryland. Most successful event of the year as mentioned in New
York Times, LA Times, CNN. The Project was visited by millions of
people from around the world

Organized construction of the monument for the famous
Lithuanian Trans Atlantic pilots S.Darius and S.Girenas whose flight
in 1937 ended in tragedy before reaching the aiport in Kaunas.
The monument was acknowledged as the most modern way of
presenting Lithuanian heroes

Author of the travel book “To Bangkok in 40 days”, published by Tyto Alba, 2014, Vilnius

Author of the travel book “through America on Motorcycles” published by VŠI, 2017, Vilnius

Photo Album – “Lithuanian Armed Forces”. This is an album of portraits of Lithuanian soldiers. The book perfectly represents the Lithuanian army – modern, brave and active. The book was published with the support of the Lithuanian Ministrty of National Defense

The owner of photo-studio FOTOTEATRAS, Vilnius, Lithuania, since 2007. Combining theatre and photography, creating an eccentric place for people to dress up in various antic clothes and ghave grfoup phots shoots for various events. Over 10,000 people have visited FOTOTEATRAS


Solo exhibition at Vilnius Gaon Jewish Museum. The exhibition was supported by the Lithuanian Vilnius City Hall.
